Cody Whitelock

Director of Innovation & Professional Development at Barnhill Contracting, leads VDC and emerging construction tech initiatives. An ENR ACE Outstanding Mentor, he inspires the next generation through the ACE Mentor Program and hosts the BIM Heroes and Eyes on Site podcasts. With CM-BIM, pilot, and drone certifications, Cody drives innovation and education in modern construction.

Josh Schaefer

Josh, a 2009 Colorado State Construction Management graduate and AACE-certified PSP, helps General Contractors master planning and scheduling. With 15+ years managing $1M–$1B projects nationwide, he blends hands-on experience with teaching, including the CSU Construction Management Certificate Program, and mentors young athletes as a high school football coach.

Stephen L. Thomas

Mr. Thomas brings 45+ years of building code expertise, including plan reviews, inspections, and administration.

He consults with agencies and architectural firms and has taught national seminars for over 30 years. Author of Building Code Basics and Building Code Essentials (ICC), he is an ICC Honorary Member and 2018 Educator of the Year.

Travis Riley

A Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America, Travis holds a law degree from St. Mary’s University and a bachelor’s in International Economics from Texas Tech.

Dan is the Chief Learning Officer for Construction Mastery Institute, bringing 35 years of commercial construction experience and more than two decades of teaching at Colorado State University.
