Meet your Subject Matter Experts:

Josh Schaefer
Josh, a 2009 Colorado State Construction Management graduate and AACE-certified PSP, helps General Contractors master planning and scheduling. With 15+ years managing $1M–$1B projects nationwide, he blends hands-on experience with teaching, including the CSU Construction Management Certificate Program, and mentors young athletes as a high school football coach.

Stephen L. Thomas
Mr. Thomas brings 45+ years of building code expertise, including plan reviews, inspections, and administration.
He consults with agencies and architectural firms and has taught national seminars for over 30 years. Author of Building Code Basics and Building Code Essentials (ICC), he is an ICC Honorary Member and 2018 Educator of the Year.

Travis Riley
Travis is a seasoned construction attorney representing contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners in Texas and Colorado.
He handles disputes involving liens, defects, payment and delay claims, and contract issues, while also advising on drafting and negotiation to reduce risk.
A Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America, Travis holds a law degree from St. Mary’s University and a bachelor’s in International Economics from Texas Tech.

Dan Rondinelli
Dan is the Chief Learning Officer for Construction Mastery Institute, bringing 35 years of commercial construction experience and more than two decades of teaching at Colorado State University. At CSU, he leads courses in plan reading, quantity take-off, and estimating, blending hands-on field experience with practical instruction to equip students and professionals with the skills and knowledge to advance and succeed in their construction careers.
